I have used 50g yarn skeins, but I have used so many colors so I think that it would be enough to use 25g for some of them. I made 2 lemon pillows with 50g yarn skeins. (I might have added some odd turquoise yarn skein as well…). The finished work (excluding the inner pillow) weighed approximately 350g. Here is the yarn list:

Start by making 3 lemon squares, 2 lime squares, 2 orange squares och 2 grapefruit squares. You can find the instructions on how to make the squares, and crochet terms here.
16 Change yarn, Denim Catona color 170. Start in the ch-2 sp (corner) *«ch 2 (= 1 hdc), 1 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc» in the ch-2 sp, **1 hdc in next st** 26 times* 4 times. For the second repeat to the fourth repeat, replace the first ch 2 with 1 hdc in the beginning. End the round with 1 sl st in the second ch in the beginning hdc. (Total 30 hdc, 8 ch, 1 sl st) Crochet around all 9 squares.
17 Change yarn, Catona color 385. Start in the ch-2 sp (corner) *«ch 2 (= 1 hdc), 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc» in the ch-2 sp, **1 hdc in each st** 29 times* 4 times. For the second repeat to the fourth repeat, replace the first ch 2 with 1 hdc in the beginning. End the round with 1 sl st in second ch in the beginning hdc. (Total 132 hdc, 8 ch, 1 sl st) Crochet around all 9 squares.
This is how the the front side looks like after the joining.
27.2 Let’s continue with the yarn (Catona color 253) that you left from row 26. crochet 3 sl st to the ch-2 sp (corner), (Beginning dc = ch 3) *«2 dc, ch 2, on the other side of the yellow sc from round 27.1, 2 dc» (corner, see picture) 1 dc in each st and BLO on the st with yellow yarn in FLO = 128 dc* 4 times. End the round with 1 sl st in third ch in the beginning dc.
28 Change color, Catona color 385. Start in the corner. (Beginning hdc = ch 2). *«2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc» (corner), **1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in BLO in second ch on ch-3 sp from row 27.1 and the dc from round 27.2** 62 times* 4 times. End the round with 1 sl st in second ch in the beginning hdc.
Crochet three of the pillow sides together on the wrong side with sl st in BLO (see picture), leave the forth one open.
Flip the pillow to the rightside and insert the inner cushion.
Sew or crochet the last edges together?
